Descrição: OBJETIVO: Ensinar aos alunos do curso conhecimentos do desenvolvimento oclusal normal a fim de que eles tenham capacidade de diagnosticar quando um determinado elemento dentário sofre um distúrbio de irrupção gerando a necessidade de tracionamento. Em particular, nos pacientes portadores de fissura labiopalatina estes distúrbios são muito mais freqüentes do que na população sem fissuras.
Este curso visa proporcionar uma visão teórica, laboratorial e clínica de situações que necessitam de tracionamento ortodôntico em função de várias etiopatogenias.

JUSTIFICATIVA: Oferecer a graduados em odontologia conhecimentos atualizados sobre os distúrbios irruptivos dos dentes, as suas causas, o prognostico e o tratamento dos mesmos.
Durante o trajeto de irrupção dentária, principalmente em pacientes portadores de fissura labiopalatina, podem ocorrer diversos tipos de atipia, sendo então necessário, que o aluno esteja atento ao desenvolvimento dos germes dentários e suas respectivas formações radiculares para que tenha capacidade de intervenção sempre que necessário.

Obstáculo mecânico
Atraso na rizogênese
Anquilose dento-alveolar
5 - Mecanoterapia
6 - Prognóstico de tratamento para os casos de tracionamento ortodôntico
