Docente Responsável:

Professor:

Maria Clara Padoveze Fonseca Barbosa

Objectives:

1) to understand the principles of implementation research, theories and methods; 2) to develop a draft of implementation research project.

Justificativa:

Rationale:

Current trends indicate that there is a great need to translate scientific evidence obtained through research into health care practice in order to achieve the full academic contribution to society. Implementation research focuses on the means of investigation regarding the best ways to implement evidence in practice, as well as the evaluation of the results obtained.

Content:

Block I: Introduction ( What is implementation science & synonyms, Evidence based practice & gaps in the implementation, Evidence: who determine what is?, Purpose of implementation science – understanding the implementation research, Challenges in the implementation) Block II: Theory (Theories of implementation, Implementation strategies vs intervention - evidence, Implementation outcomes, Implementation frameworks and models, Theories of change); Block II: Methods (Planning an implementation research project, Potential methods to implementation research – overview, Researchaction, Logic models; Roles within the implementation process, Stakeholders analysis, Joanna Briggs Institute implementation model).

600 caracteres)

Type of Assessment:

Oral presentation of draft implementation research project in power point and abstract up to 300 words containiing background, objectivos, methods and references (máx. 600 caracteres)
