Objetivos:

Apresentar os princípios básicos dos métodos de ressonância magnética e tomografia computadorizada aplicados ao estudo das estruturas craniofaciais e de suas malformações. Apresentar de forma sistematizada a correlação entre as alterações morfológicas e funcionais das estruturas craniofaciais e os distúrbios relacionados.

Objectives:

To present in detail the fundamental principles of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) methods applied to the study of craniofacial structures and their malformations. To systematically demonstrate the correlation between morphological and functional alterations of craniofacial structures and related disorders.

Justificativa:

O crescente avanço tecnológico nos métodos de diagnóstico humano por meio de métodos de imagem como ressonância magnética e tomografia computadorizada tem permitido uma maior compreensão das fissuras orofaciais e anomalias relacionadas e representam recursos valiosos para o desenvolvimento de pesquisas na área.

Rationale:

The continuous technological advancement in human diagnostic methods, especially through imaging techniques such as MRI and CT, has provided a deeper understanding of orofacial clefts and related anomalies. These methods represent invaluable resources for the development of research in the field, allowing significant advances in the knowledge and treatment of these conditions.
