Objetivos:
Introduzir a formulação Hamiltoniana da mecânica usando formas diferenciais. Discutir diversos exemplos clássicos de sistemas mecânicos: movimento de corpos celestes, movimento de corpos rígidos, curvas geodésicas, etc
Objectives:
Introduce the Hamiltonian formulation of mechanics using differential forms. Discuss several classic examples of mechanical systems: movement of celestial bodies, movement of rigid bodies, geodesic curves, etc
Justificativa:

Type of Assessment:
The evaluation will be carried out through seminars, projects and tests. The final grade will be calculated by the arithmetic mean M of the means obtained by the student in each assessment instrument. In the first two weeks of class, the teacher will set the dates and number of tests, projects and seminars, as well as the criteria for attributing the final letter grade.
