Objetivos:
O objetivo é o estudo de conceitos básicos em Teoria Geométrica da Medida e aplicações à Teoria das Superfícies Mínimas.
Objectives:
The objective is the study of basic concepts in Geometric Measure Theory and applications to the Theory of Minimal Surfaces.
Justificativa:
Trata-se de uma disciplina básica em Análise Geométrica, tendo interface importante com Geometria Diferencial, Cálculo das Variações e Equações Diferenciais Parciais.
Rationale:
It is a basic discipline in Geometrical Analysis and has important interface with Differential Geometry, Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations.
Conteúdo:
1) Preliminares sobre medidas de Radon. 2) Medidas de Hausdorff. 3) Teoremas de cobertura e diferenciação. 4) Funções Lipschitz, fórmulas da área e da coárea. 5) Funções Sobolev e BV. 6) Introdução à teoria dos conjuntos de perímetro finito e aplicações.
Content:
1) Preliminaries on Radon measures. 2) Hausdorff measures. 3) Covering and differentiation theorems. 4) Lipschitz functions, area and coarea formulas. 5) Sobolev and BV functions. 6) Introduction to the theory of sets of finite perimeter and applications.

Observação:
Pré-requisito: Teoria da Medida e Integração. É desejável que o aluno já tenha feito algum curso em Geometria Diferencial e um primeiro curso em Análise Funcional.
