Objetivos:

Atualizar conhecimentos sobre os tumores sólidos da criança e do adolescente: I- clínico: epidemiologia, quadro clínico, patologia e tratamento, II- citogenético: alterações cromossômicas através da citogenética convencional e molecular e III- moleculares: expressão de genes, oncogenes e genes supressores de tumores, relacionados a etiopatogenia destes tumores.

Justificativa:

JUSTIFICATIVA: O câncer na criança e no adolescente constitui a principal causa de morte por doença neste grupo etário. O avanço dos conhecimentos e da prática médica tem proporcionado aumento da sobrevida e cura nestes pacientes, porem cerca de 30% não apresentam boa evolução sofrendo recaída e óbito. Portanto o avanço do conhecimento e da pesquisa nesta área devem ser estimuladas.

Conteúdo Seminários: - Tumor de Wilms: aspectos clínicos, citogenéticos e moleculares. - Neuroblastoma: aspectos clínicos, citogenéticos e moleculares. - Sarcoma de Partes Moles: aspectos clínicos, citogenéticos e moleculares. - Tumores de Sistema Nervoso Central: aspectos clínicos, citogenéticos e moleculares. - Tumores Ósseos: aspectos clínicos, citogenéticos e moleculares. - Tumor de Células Germinativas: aspectos clínicos, citogenéticos e moleculares. Aulas Práticas: - Cultura de células tumorais, Citogenética Convencional. - Métodos moleculares: PCR, RT-PCR e Western Blott.
