Este curso é uma introdução do instrumental teórico metodológica da Ecologia Humana, bem como suas áreas relacionadas como a Arqueologia, a Geografia, a Ecologia e a História. Os temas abordados são: origens da abordagem Ecológica na antropologia; evolução, evolucionismo social e ecologia cultural; darwinismo, meio-ambiente e cognição; antropologia ecológica e abordagem ecossitêmica; ecologia política; ecologia histórica e etnoecologia; antropologia ambiental e criítica social; virada ontológica e, perspectivas e debates contemporâneos.
