O objetivo dessa disciplina é apresentar o panorama sobre a discussão do papel das emoções nas Relações Internacionais que vem se desenvolvendo ao longo dos últimos vinte anos, e aprofundar a discussão sobre a relação entre racionalidade e sentimento para uma melhor compreensão de processos políticos tais como a formação de alianças, a cooperação internacional, a guerra e as políticas migratórias.
Ao longo do curso iremos trabalhar o tema das emoções em diferentes processos como - o desenvolvimento de conflitos e negociações; - o debate sobre questões envolvendo temas como segurança, justiça e legitimidade internacionais; - políticas migratórias; - intervenções humanitárias. Além disso, buscaremos apresentar perspectiva que trabalham a ideia de corpo como co-constituída pela estrutura das relações internacionais.

Qual a relação entre gênero, identidade, racismo e o tema dos afetos na política internacional? 4. Como pensar o processo de constituição dos corpos dentro de uma perspectiva de Relações Internacionais? 5. É possível uma teoria política que explore também o temas dos corpos e dos afetos? 6. Como a questão da violência e da guerra, que são fundamentais para a formação da disciplina de Relações Internacionais podem ser pensadas incorporando o papel dos afetos?
