Objetivos
Course Brief
The content to be discussed in this course aims at providing conditions for a better comprehension of main aspects related to business and organizations in a true global world, especially focusing on characteristics of Brazil and other economies. Not only aspects related to the markets (macro), but also aspects related to many elements in organizations (micro), with special focus on people and management, are all explored in this course. The ultimate goal is for students to experience a proper educational environment to support building critical opinion and technical tools for a more effective and efficient presence in a global business environment. 

Course Goals and Learning Objectives
By successfully concluding the program, students will be able to analyze aspects of talent development focusing on a global market and the Brazilian business environment, illustrate Brazilian socioeconomic and cultural aspects and discuss the influence of Brazilian characteristics on the performance of individuals and organizations. It is anticipated an in-depth conceptual review, followed by weekly discussions about the course topics. Specific readings will assist students in constructing the main concepts and the discussions, with real world examples, will offer proper environment to reflect on the subjects.

Método
LEARNING ASSESSMENT The learnings assessment method includes: 1. Expository classes; 2. Reading and discussion of technical and scientific articles; 3. Classroom discussions of practical cases; 4. Individual activities: exercises, quizzes and tests; 5. Group activities: exercises, case solving, seminars and assignments. SKILLS AND ATTITUDES DEVELOPED: It is expected that the teaching-learning methods used will develop the student's capacity for critical analysis, teamwork and improvement of student’s judgment skills different contexts.
Critério
Criterion: Final evaluation will be expressed by a value between zero and ten (0 to 10). To pass the course, student must have a minimum value of 5 (five) and minimum attendance of 70%. Less than 70% of attendance will cause course failure, regardless of the value. Less than a value of three (3) will cause course failure, regardless of the attendance.)
Norma de Recuperação
Re-assessment: According to USP regulations, students above a minimum value of three (3) and bellow a value of five (5) will be offered a chance to take a re-assessment, in case they have reached the required minimum attendance level. The final grade will be calculated by the average between the first grade and re-assessment grade. To pass the course, student must have a minimum value of 5 (five) in the final grade after the re-assessment.
