O objetivo principal da disciplina é fazer a ligação dos fundamentos de teorias da firma com a aplicação em coordenação e controle. Ainda, expor instrumentos de controladoria atualmente empregados, e expor pesquisas contemporâneas em contabilidade gerencial que implicam na função de Controladoria.
