Este curso tem por objetivo oferecer aos alunos uma introdução às diferentes narrativas críticas contemporâneas sobre o Direito Internacional. Espera-se que, ao final do curso, o aluno seja capaz de identificar os limites civilizatórios subjacentes ao discurso de Direito Internacional e como tais limites contribuem para diferentes formas de dominação no exercício da razão pura e da razão prática no interior desse campo.
O curso é dividido em 4 (quatro) módulos principais. O primeiro módulo se concentra nas diferentes nuances em torno da ideia de crítica e visa a localizar um campo abrangente de sentidos possíveis em torno dessa ideia no exercício de razão pura e aplicada do Direito Internacional. O segundo módulo se debruçará sobre as visões críticas mais debatidas contemporaneamente sobre os limites de conteúdo do Direito Internacional. O terceiro módulo se dedicará às críticas metodológicas sobre a produção acadêmica contemporânea em Direito Internacional. O quarto módulo se voltará a estabelecer as bases de uma crítica epistemológica do campo intelectual do Direito Internacional.
